My setup
Here's what I use on a daily basis for development and productivity.
Desk
- MacBook M4 Pro : My primary development machine for work.
- Acer ED270U S3 : 27" Curved External Monitor.
- iPad Air M3 + Apple Pencil Pro : Love this for reading, jotting down notes, and for watching movies.
- Raspberry Pi 3 B : Experimenting with it.
- Apple iPhone 17 Pro : Finally after 6 years of using my old device, shelled out and bought a good one from my earnings.
- JBL Tour One M2 : Over the ear headphones, the bluetooth is mediocre, but paired with Hi-Res DAC, pure bliss 🎧
- Headphone Zone X DDHiFi: Hi-Res DAC : Thanks to Apple for not supporing lossless over bluetooth.
- Realme Buds Air 6 Pro : When my headphones are not around; like the reflective surface.
- Portonics Extension Board : Hides the mess of cables, under my table.
- Greensoul New York Ergonomic Chair : Long sitting hours, there could be better options out there.
Development
- Cursor Pro : Primary code editor with AI capabilities, autocomplete has become part of my life. Thanks to Levels ($20/month)
- Claude Max : My goto AI agent for coding, and general purpose tasks. Thanks to Levels again. ($100/month)
- Ghostty : Fast, modern, and minimal terminal emulator.
- VPS (Hetzner) : Used for hosting my personal projects, and self hosting a few things. Homelab is the final goal. ($5/month)
- Google Chrome : My goto browser for development, no more explanation needed.
- T3.chat : My default AI for searching things and research. ($8/month)
Productivity
- Zen Browser : My primary browser, love the keybindings, minimal look and so much more real estate, and it's Open Source!
- Notion : Use this everyday for personal journaling, habit tracking and professional work.
- Notion Calendar : Can't appreciate this enough, use this and then go back to Google Calendar, I dare you.
- Opencode : It just gets it right, and the UX is pleasing. Most of my code is written here now. (Free)
- Raycast : Well, life made easier, the first thing I will install if i get a new Mac. Builtin clipboard, file search, calculator, focus mode, and so much more.
- Apple Books : Yeah a weird one, but the UX is just beautiful, read so many books on it.
- Apple Music : Finally made a switch from YT Music, for lossless music, and better recommendations. Songshift is goated. (₹149/month)
- Yabai : Mac window managament sucks, and this is far far better, and it's Open Source.
- Yazi : An open source terminal based file manager, and it's just so good to rapidly navigate through files.
- Nebo : A great alternative to Freeform, and a lot more flexible. (₹999 one time)
- 1Password : Makes life easier. (From my employer)
- Macrofactor Workout : Tracking my workouts, and progress. (₹6900/year)
- Spokenly : Free speech to text, runs local models on your machine. Both desktop and mobile. (Free)
Notable Mentions
- Handtool Kit : Something which makes me feel more engineer.
- Japanese Santoku Knife : Multi purpose knife, comfortable and sharp, bought from my local Reliance mart, I cut vegetables just to use that knife.
- Philips Airfryer NA231 : Swiss Army Knife for my kitchen, works for baking, microwave, deep fry, stir fry, everything.
